It's A Jungle Out There!
This family and this location both hold a special place in my heart. I've been taking pictures of these girls since they were running around barefoot in diapers. The diapers may be gone, but these country girls still prefer running with the grass between their toes over a pair of heels any day. So when my sister said that she wanted to take their family photos at Jungle Gardens in Avery Island, I knew it was the perfect choice! Not only is Jungle Gardens filled with natural beauty and breathtaking scenery, it also fills my heart with nostalgic memories. My sister and I used to go there with my dad when we were little girls. We'd spend the day exploring this lush landscape and playing among the ancient, majestic oaks. And when it was my turn to have a chance in front of the camera for my own bridals, I couldn't resist choosing Jungle Gardens as my backdrop.
Now I'm back behind the camera at one of my favorite places, taking pictures of some of my favorite people. This is a location that I will continue to visit time and time again because it's the perfect place to create and capture memories that will last. Come to think of it, I believe it's time to take a little family outing of our own and add some new memories of this magical place to our story. See you soon Jungle Gardens!
